Welcome to my page. A little about myself. I was born in Jamshedpur, India. My formative years were spent in Welham Boys School, a boarding school at the foothills of the Himalayas. After completeing high school, I joined Manipal Institute of Technology to pursue my BE in Electronics and Communication Engineering.
I had always wanted to study in the US so I applied to various colleges and finally settled for University of Florida . After graduating from UF, I started my professional career with Verizon in Tampa, Florida and have been with them ever since.
Verizon Communications is the largest telecommunications provider in the US providing, data, voice, video and wireless services. Initially I worked in the IT department as a Systems Analyst, responsible for new program development for various systems. Honestly, I knew that I wasn't cut out to be one of those programming geeks. Therefore, I decided to move to the more practical aspect of the Telecom business - Operations.
Moving to Operations changed my entire outlook. From being one of those unknown geeks behind a computer to a frontline manager - a people person! I also had the wonderful opportunity to travel around the world, expanding Verizon's operations. Countries such as India, Philippines and Mexico.
